Note: One of the earliest European subject patterns made in China and based on a Nicholas Bonnart engraving titled Symphonie du tympanum, du luth et de la flute d'Allemagne, which bore a verse lauding the joys of music when all play on time, and noting how even sweeter it is when l'Amour conducts.

Condition

Minor wear. Presents well; a restored crescent shaped break (in three pieces) to the rim at 10 o'clock approx. 2½ in. long; a restored rim line at 11 o'clock approx. 3½ in. long and 1 o'clock approx. 2 in. long; there is a small restored rim chip at 8 o'clock with associated very faint rim line approx. 2 in. long; some tiny kiln speckles in the making. Otherwise in good condition.
