Bronze, signed, with the Roman Bronze Works N.Y. Foundry mark and numbered RB913-2 on a metal tag on the base.
61 3/4 x 13 x 12 in.Note: This bronze was conceived in 1928 and originally would have had a shell element in the girl's hand that, when piped, would hold water that would drip down to the plants below. Vonnoh bronzes were cast at various times, some posthumously. The Roman Bronze Works number on this work, RB913, was assigned to a different work, as noted in the documentation held at the Amon carter Museum. RB913 is listed there as Springtime of Life.
