Note: Warhol based his John Wayne on a 1962 publicity photo for the movie The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. The edition contains 'unique' screenprints with varying colors and placement that are inscribed 'unique'. This version of the image has hand-additions in the upper area. It is not known who added them to the image.
