Screenprint in black on wove paper, circa 1978, signed and inscribed 'to Camilla and Earl' in pencil, number 6/20. 25 1/4 x 19 1/4 in. (sheet), 26 1/2 x 20 1/2 in. (frame). Literature: See Feldman and Schellmann IIIA - 16a. Provenance: Gift of the artist. Note: In 1977, Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager opened the classic New York nightclub Studio 54. The club was the most happening and glamorous nightclub and social scene in New York City in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Andy Warhol was a frequent patron, as were the McGraths and their circle of jet set friends. This oversized complimentary drinks ticket was made by Warhol in several different versions and sizes. It is a classic tongue-in-cheek nod to the free-drinks-tickets that were coveted and given out to famous guests at the club. Warhol incorporated the original Studio 54 logo into his design. The logo was designed by graphic designed Gilbert Lesser. Condition Report,
