Note: The hand-sewn double-applique cotton muslin stars configured in a 'Wreath of Stars Within a Square' pattern, with the remaining stars unequally divided on either side of the indigo-blue cotton canton; the canton, cotton stripes, and sleeves are all machine-sewn; the first stripe is pieced; the sleeve with two brass grommets. Nevada was made the 36th state on October 31, 1864.
