The pair of oil on canvas, c.1735, unsigned, lined. Both 26 1/2 x 22 1/2 in.; Mary 30 x 26 in. (frame) and Reverand 29 1/2 x 25 in. (frame). Note: Reverand William Russell was a son of the Reverand Noadiah Russell (1659-1713) who was a congregationalist minister and one of the founders of Yale College. William Russell succeeded his father as minister of the First Congregational Church in Middletown, CT.
