Inscribed and signed on the reverse, 'This flag was given to me at about age 6 (1936) in Blakely, GA., by my father, Wade Woodward, Jr., I carried it in the parade for Memorial Day. Joanne Woodward, 2002, June 31'.

11 1/2 x 15 1/4 in. (frame); 7 1/4 x 11 in. flag.

Note: The 48-star American flag was made in 1912 with the addition of New Mexico and Arizona, along with 13 stripes representing the original colonies.

The flag is stained, faded and torn, with very minor staining to the mat and frame.
