Note: Two of architect A. J. Davis' most notable Neoclassical buildings were Indiana's State Capitol (1831-35) and NYC's Custom House (1833-42). It was during this period that Davis developed his innovative fenestration system for vertically unified windows that he would later call "Davisean". This multi-storied window structure would become the modern strip window used in 20th Century skyscrapers.,
