At the age of 21, Vincent moved to New York City where he attended the Beaux Arts Institute of Design and Columbia University's School of Architecture. In the field of architectural sculpture, he designed for the Maccabees Building, the Fred F. French Building, and, as part of the Treasury Section of Painting and Sculpture, which was similar to the Works Progress Administration, he created bas-reliefs for the United States Post Office in Hudson, NY.
