Note: This painting is a later copy of Titian's famous work of the same title which he completed between 1556 and 1559. The scene depicts the moment that the goddess Diana discovers that her maid Callisto has become pregnant by Jupiter. The original painting is in the collection of the Scottish National Gallery.
