Engraving in black with hand-coloring on laid paper, with label from Goodspeed's Book Shop, Boston; together with After Charles Willson Peal (1741-1827), by James Trenchard (b. 1747): A N.W. 10 1/4 x 8 3/4 in. (plate), 13 x 11 1/2 in. (frame), 5 x 7 in. (sheet), 9 3/4 x 11 1/4 in. (frame). 

Literature: State House:  The Columbian, or Monthly Miscellany Philadelphia,  printed for Seddon, Spotswood, Cist, and Trenchard, 1787 July, opp. p. 516.

 

 

Condition

Both with small margins. State House with a central vertical crease and staining. Otherwise both apparently in good condition. Not examined out of frame.
