Note: Ralph Ellis purchased a part of the estate of John Gould in 1937. Among the property purchased were a number of uncolored lithographs. Ellis chose to have them hand-colored in California in the 1940s. This group bears, and is identified by, the Ellis-Gould Prints blindstamp in the lower left corner.
Condition
Both with margins. Selasphorus Rufus with mat staining and a few tiny nicks and losses along the sheet edges. Otherwise both apparently in good condition. Selasphorus Rufus examined out of frame.
