Note: This portrait by American artist Aaron Shikler is being sold to benefit the Artists' Fellowship in New York City. The Artists' Fellowship is a private charitable foundation whose mission is to financially assist professional visual artists and their families in times of emergency, disability or bereavement. In 1859, a group of compassionate artists and business leaders joined forces to help working artists and their families in times of need. The group was known as the 'Helpful Society', later renamed the 'Artists' Mutual Aid Society'. In 1925, the group was incorporated and renamed the Artists' Fellowship.
