The gold box apparently unmarked, inscribed Frances Rogers and with a fitted tooled leather sleeve embossed 'M.F.R'; the silver box marked 'Sterling'; the scent bottle marked for London, 1870, maker's mark indistinct, monogrammed 'E'.

The gold box 5/8 x 2 7/8 x 2 3/8 in., the gold 72.2 dwts. gross weight; the silver 3.8 oz. approx. weighable.

Condition

The gold box tests for 14k, minor wear, a few unobtrusive bruises, some wear and rubbing to the leather slip. The silver box cover is stuck, some bruises and abrasions. The scent bottle is lacking stopper, some residue to the interior vinaigrette hinge is slightly popped and does not stay shut.
